We offer professional training in drama, singing and dance for children aged 5 upwards to adults.

Our Theatre Schools in Sheffield and Rotherham focus on drama and singing as a tool for building confidence, social and vocal skills as well as developing performance and professional theatre skills

The Academy is headed by professional West End and Broadway Director Ruth Carney-Nash.

Our Sheffield Academy runs Performing Arts Classes on Saturdays and the students can attend either Drama, Dance or Singing - or a combination of classes. 

Unlike other schools our students do NOT have to attend all 3 disciplines.

Everyone working at Carney Academy works successfully in professional theatre, television or film. This knowledge feeds into the development of every single student.

As well as developing the performing arts skills of each student these skills are also transferrable to every aspect of the students’ life outside of Carney Academy.

Carney Academy Talent is the agency and represents Under 20’s to get them real opportunities working in the business.

Carney Academy in Sheffield also runs Summer Schools, Specialist Workshops and Film Courses. These delve deeper into the professional world and give the student an intense but fun experience.

 
Our Rotherham Theatre School is run on Saturdays at Rotherham Civic Theatre.
