Welcome to Stagecoach Performing Arts School Chorleywood

Chorleywood Based Stagecoach Performing Arts School on Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire borders offers singing lessons, drama classes and kids dance classes attracting children living in Chorleywood and the surrounding areas.

Every week during term time children and teenagers do an hour of singing classes, an hour of dance classes and an hour of drama classes.

Performing Arts classes for kids help to develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation - as well as being educational and fun.

Stagecoach Chorleywood is more than just a stage school, theatre school or drama school, we regularly run theatre trips where we offer our children discounted tickets. We host masterclasses at the school where industry professionals work with our students. These have included, SFX Make up techniques, understanding Shakespeare, TV presenting, Bollywood Dance and Soap Acting with Coronation Street's Jenny Platt.

Stagecoach Chorleywood runs a popular Summer Holiday Workshop every year for students aged 6-16 years. Kids join us for five days of singing, dance and drama activities putting on a performance at the end of the week for friends and family.

Each week students aged 6-18 years attend our main school which runs Saturday mornings from 10-1pm or Saturday afternoons from 2.30-5.30pm. During the three hours students attend one hour classes in dance, singing and drama with specialist teachers.

Students aged 4-6 years attend our early stages classes with run Saturday mornings at either 9:30-11am - 11:15-12:45 or 14:15-15:45

During the 90 minutes students cover a mixture of singing, dance and drama activities supported by one or two specialist teachers and an assistant.

The emphasis is always on building confidence, encouraging creativity and having lots of fun throughout. We mount two staged and costumed shows/demos per year and offer other performing opportunities including joining the Stagecoach Agency.

Stagecoach Chorleywood coaches students for LAMDA exams of all levels in both Acting and Musical Theatre. We offer students one to one coaching with a specialist LAMDA teacher during the Autumn term. Students take their exams at the LAMDA Head Offices in London during December.

Both early stages and main school offer twice yearly reports to parents and are independently inspected to ensure standards of care remain high.

All teachers are CRB checked and we have a minimum of two first aiders on site at any one time. We offer a caring environment where we nurture students of all abilities to become inspired by the creative arts, whilst having lots of fun and making friends along the way.
