News from "Shropshire star" for Bring a Parent day!
"Parents get their moment of fame".

Instead of an end of term production, students at Stagecoach theatre school decided to turn the tables and put their parents on stage.

The Bring a Parent day held last term was a huge success, according to Stagecoach Principal Lisa van der Horst. "It is a great way to let parents see how the school works and also to learn a few new skills," said Lisa, who has been a professional performer for the past 20 years.

Stagecoach, which uses facilities at the Shrewsbury College of arts and technology, provides training in the performing arts for children aged 4-18.
