Tanwood is the Premier Performing Arts School in Swindon and is now approaching it's 70th Birthday! As the towns oldest and most sucessful dance and musical theatre school we provide a complete experience, built on a proud tradition and reputation, but always innovative and striving for continuous improvement and progression.

Tanwood  teaches a number of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, Street jazz and contemporary.As well as musical Theatre and Acting.

These various dance styles give the grounding for all types of dance that may be met by pupils who go on to pursue dancing as a profession or just as a hobby.

Adult dance lessons are also given in tap and fitness (Zumba) for either complete beginners or for those who wish to pick up where they left off at a younger age!

Lessons in Musical Theatre , Singing and acting are given for those who wish to get a more general grounding in theatre craft beyond the scope of dancing. Whether you are looking for lessons for lesiure or to pursue a performing arts career we are sure we can help.

Past pupils have been chosen to be Royal Ballet and Central Ballet school Associates and numerous pupils acquiring scholarship's to top vocational Performing Arts colleges and Ballet schools.


Past Pupils have appeared in London's West End, Ballet Companies, Films and TV.
